THE PROMISE686 BOARD

Tim Rider | Chairman, Board of Directors – Tim is CEO/President and Principal Consultant (SeaTec, LLC) and founder/CFO of an Internet technology company, Big Screen Live. Prior to joining SeaTec, he served in various leadership roles at Delta Air Lines. Tim holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from Emory University. In addition, Tim and his wife, Amy, have two sons and one daughter who was adopted from Kyrgyzstan.

Andy Cook | President and CEO – Andy began his leadership of Promise686 in 2013 after serving as a founding board member for the previous five years. He attended Washington and Lee University receiving a Bachelor of Art in English, and he received a Master of Arts in Religion from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, with a concentration in Ethics. Before coming to Promise686, Andy served in various leadership roles at Wesleyan School, a K-12 independent Christian school. During his ten years at Wesleyan he was the Director of Development and the Director of Admissions. He and his wife, Martha, have ten children and have adopted both domestically and internationally.

Keith Style | Treasurer – Keith, current Principal of The Presidio Group, brings his extensive background in finance and accounting to Promise686 where he serves as Treasurer. Keith has many years of experience in the boating (OneWater Holdings, LLC) and automotive (Asbury Automotive Group, Inc.) industries. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Lafayette College. Keith and his wife, Jen, live in Alpharetta, GA with their three children, one adopted from Ethiopia.

Jim Allen | Member, Board of Directors – Jim is the Senior Vice President of Corporate and Premium Partnerships for the Atlanta Braves. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno. He also sits on the Board of Governors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and is on the board of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Sports Network. Jim and his wife, Molly, live in Marietta, GA with their three daughters, Savannah, Emily, and Ella Jia Li who was adopted from China.

Joyce Dalrymple | Member, Board of Directors – Joyce is an attorney who formerly served as an Assistant Attorney General in Massachusetts and Staff Attorney in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Stanford University and a law degree from Boston College. Joyce graduated in 2019 with a Masters in Divinity from Metro Atlanta Seminary. She and her husband, Tim, live in Wheaton, IL with their three daughters, one who has recently joined their “forever family” from China.

Brett Lane | Member, Board of Directors – Under Brett’s leadership, Encore Advisors came to life in 2007 with the intent of creating a boutique benefits firm that would serve as far more than an insurance brokerage. Encore continues to experience steady growth through purposeful, deep-rooted relationships around Atlanta. Brett graduated from UGA in 2003 and began his career in Florida. 13 years ago, Brett moved his family back home where he, his wife, Nicole, and their three daughters are highly invested in the Johns Creek, GA community. Brett and his family have whole-heartedly served Promise686 since its inception.

Patrick Moody | Member, Board of Directors – Patrick is a Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer at Citizens Bank. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University. He serves on the Finance Committee of Promise686. He is also a board member with the Commercial Finance Association, an elder at Perimeter Church, and volunteers his time with CURE Childhood Cancer. Patrick and his wife, Tiffany, have five children, including two who are adopted – a son from Ethiopia, and most recently a daughter from China.

Olivia B. Alston, MSW, Director of Metropolitan Partnerships | oalston@promise686.org

Olivia joined our staff in December 2019. In her previous role, Olivia worked to improve the well-being of children at United Way of Greater Atlanta, where she recruited volunteers, built strategic partnerships, and managed multifaceted projects. Olivia’s background spans more than 15 years in community engagement and nonprofit leadership. Olivia earned her B.S. in Sociology from Lincoln University (MO) and her Master of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. Olivia is highly invested in her community, serving as a Board Member for a variety of organizations. Olivia is personally and professionally passionate about meeting the needs of children.

Erin Blonshine, Operations Manager | eblonshine@promise686.org

Erin joined the staff of Promise686 in August 2019 as the Operations Manager. She earned her Bachelors degree in English Education from the University of Georgia, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Biblical and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Erin has always had a passion for serving children and families, and she is excited to be a part of serving the mission of Promise686. In her free time, Erin enjoys relaxing on the lake and playing with her nieces and nephews.

Ty Bryant, Vice President | ty@promise686.org


Ty, Vice President of Promise686, joined our staff in March 2014. For the previous 15 years, Ty served as a staff pastor in Children’s Ministry at Perimeter Church, Johns Creek, GA. Ty has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University, a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation from Wheaton College (IL), and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. Ty was himself adopted as an infant; thus, the call to raise up loving homes for vulnerable children is personal to him. Ty and his wife, Kristen, are parents of six children, including a sibling group of three from foster care who are finally and fully adopted!

Jeremy Doublestein, Director of Promise Serves | jdoublestein@promise686.org

Jeremy began volunteering with Promise686 in 2016 as a church Advocate. He put his 15+ years of web development experience to work by building a web application in 2017 to keep the volunteers at his multi-campus church organized. Over the next 12 months, this grew into what is currently Promise Serves. Jeremy contracted with Promise686 to build out the functionality of Promise Serves to accommodate the needs of Promise686’s affiliate partners until January of 2020 when he officially joined the Promise686 team full time. His wife Suzanne and their four adopted children enjoy homesteading in a small town east of Atlanta.

John Flores, VP, Strategic Growth | jflores@promise686.org

John Flores joined the Promise team in January of 2021. Born and raised in Texas, he attended Texas A&M University where he double majored in Economics and Political Science. Before joining Promise, John served in various roles ranging from political campaigns, non-profit development, and business development and operations in the private sector. John has been a fan and partner of Promise for five years through serving on the Growth Committee. He is excited to help drive the growth and impact of Promise over the next several years. John lives in Johns Creek with his wife, Aimee, and their four children.

Kelly Gordon, Accounting Manager | kelly@promise686.org

Kelly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Boston College and in 2017 transitioned back on staff at Promise686 as Accounting Manager. Kelly and her husband, Matt, first entered the world of foster care and adoption as a Safe Family in 2008 (until 2010) and soon after joined the fledgling Promise686 team in 2009 as Director of Volunteers (2010-2012). For the next five years the Gordon’s served as foster parents, hosting 18 children in their home until they adopted their two daughters from foster care in 2014. Along with their three sons, the Gordon family stays on the move with children’s ministry and adult discipleship at Perimeter Church, and the various activities of five children.

Audrey Hayes, Creative Director | ahayes@promise686.org

Audrey joined our organization in August 2019 as the Creative Director. She graduated from Shorter University with a Communication degree and has a background in digital media and design. Audrey is passionate about social good and is excited to help push forward the mission here at Promise686. She’s married to Jordan, lives in Norcross, Georgia, and enjoys community, outdoors, and creativity.

Connor McCauley, Director of Implementation | cmccauley@promise686.org

Connor joined the staff of Promise686 in January 2021 as the Director of Implementation. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. Before coming to Promise, Connor served in an operations capacity with Chick-fil-A in Chicago for seven years. Connor’s passion for caring for vulnerable children was sparked while witnessing his parent’s foster care journey in caring for 7 children, and ultimately adopting 4. Connor, his wife Sarah, and daughter Lyla currently reside in Chicago, IL and attend Park Community Church. Connor is thrilled to be working to mobilize more churches across the United States to care for vulnerable children.

Jean Rector, Regional Manager – Northeast Georgia | jean@promise686.org

Jean became familiar with Promise686 as the first matching grant recipient for the adoption of their son Jenya from Russian in 2010. She is a Live The Promise Church Advocate at Rising Church and has been involved in foster and adoptive outreach for the last ten years. She joined Promise686 as a Regional Manager in 2015. Previously Jean served at Sugarloaf United Methodist Church as the Volunteer Coordinator in Children’s Ministry. Jean has an Accounting degree from Missouri State University and has also worked alongside her husband in his businesses. Jean and Joe are enjoying their roles as friends and advisors to four grown sons!

April Rodell, Adoption Grants Manager  | april@promise686.org

April has long served Promise686 in various roles including  the primary Manager of the Adoption Grant process. She received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Georgia Southern University and studied Political Science at American University. She has a wide range of professional experience including tour guide, lobbyist, event scheduler, and camp director. April has enjoyed volunteering with various ministries at her church, is involved at her children’s school, and is a radKIDS instructor for the community. April and her husband, Jon, have three strapping sons fast approaching adulthood.

Aaron Scofield, Montana Director  | ascofield@promise686.org

Aaron joined the Promise686 team in December 2020. He graduated from the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and went on to pastor before entering the world of foster care ministry. For the last 5 years, he has been actively recruiting and supporting foster families where he saw the opportunity for the local church to be equipped to wrap around children and families. Aaron and his family live in Northwest Montana where he is excited to lead Promise686’s Montana Initiative to help mobilize churches across the state. His wife is on staff at their home church as the Children’s Director. Along with their two sons, their family is busy with ministry activities and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation that surrounds them in the mountains.

Johnna Stein, Director of Training | johnna@promise686.org


Johnna received her Bachelor of Arts in French from The College of William & Mary. She has worked as a teacher, reading specialist, and tour director. Johnna is a free-lance published writer. She served six years as the Children’s Ministry Director at Trinity Church in the Netherlands and co-led a morning women’s Bible study group at her church for two years. Johnna and her husband, Frank, have two adult children and serve as respite parents.

Colin Sylvester, Director of Strategic Growth | colin@promise686.org

Colin joined the staff of Promise686 in July 2018 as the Director of Strategic Growth. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Arts from Wake Forest University. Colin’s professional background is in digital media and strategic development. He is passionate about leadership through mentorship and enjoys volunteering as a youth tennis coach. Born and raised close by in Johns Creek, GA, Colin and his wife, Mary Ann, currently attend North Point Community Church.

Catie joined the staff of Promise686 in September 2015 as a Regional Manager. Catie has a professional background in foster care and domestic infant adoption. She holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Birmingham-Southern College. Catie, her husband, Brandon, and their infant daughter, live in Savannah where Catie is focused on working with churches in Coastal Georgia to build FAMs (Family Advocacy Ministry) within their congregations.

Ellie Erickson, Marketing Fellow | eerickson@promise686.org

Ellie Erickson joined the Promise team in September of 2020 as the marketing fellow. She graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a focus in graphic design. Ellie is currently a part of The Fellows Initiative at City Church East Side in Virginia Highlands. Although new to the foster care and adoption world, she has long been passionate about being boots on the ground in the effort towards social justice. Ellie loves spunky sneakers, opportunities for creativity, and making new friends.
