Convinced that God wants to use His church to set the lonely in families, ten years ago Promise686 began giving adoption grants. To date, 1.8 million dollars has been given, assisting more than 200 children find their place in a forever family. In 2013, our foster care strategy, Live the Promise (LTP), was launched. Since then, we have equally poured our hearts and resources into helping nearly 100 churches launch foster care ministries.

It’s time to share what we’re learning with hopes of reaching more children. The FAM Forum addresses the urgency of the need and ways to develop a foster and adoptive ministry in your faith community. This conference is open to all – individuals, church staff, groups of friends, from the merely curious to the most passionate orphan care activist! If you’re brand new, come and discover where and how to begin – from wading in to diving in headfirst. If already seasoned in this area of ministry and your current focus has been solely on foster care, you will find ways to expand your church’s ministry by providing Adoption 101. Is your congregation tapped out with the same “pitch”? Learn new pathways to engagement.

More than a conference, the FAM Forum offers opportunities to ask questions, discuss, network, and pray with those in your region. And, we’re excited to announce Hope at Home‘s Susan Hillis, and Dahlia Bell-Brown, Chief of Staff to the Deputy Director, GA DFCS, as our keynote speakers. Below, please find descriptions for the breakout sessions – select one and register for the FAM Forum 2017 today – space is limited!

Lunch provided | Up to 6 hours of CEUs available for foster parents, awarded at the discretion of your agency.
