THE OPPORTUNITY

To activate Family Advocacy Ministries (FAMs) throughout Florida, via coordinated yet autonomous churches leading in their communities, radically altering the state of child welfare.

WHY JOIN THE FLORIDA INITIATIVE?

Did you know there are about 19,000 children in foster care throughout the state of Florida? These vulnerable children stand to gain the most when local churches step up to provide support via resources, volunteers, and families. Additionally, their biological families in crisis will gain strength through relational support.

THE GOAL

With your support, we’re aiming to plant FAMs in 10% of Florida churches, creating Christ-centered, child-focused ministries. These FAMs will utilize tools like Promise Serves and Care Communities to serve local at-risk kids.

This Florida-specific initiative is propelled by Promise686 and other For Others Collective's best-in-class partners.

ABOUT FOR OTHERS COLLECTIVE

Grammy winner Chris Tomlin is an official Promise686 partner and advocate and has joined forces with Promise686 to serve at-risk kids in Florida. His foundation, For Others Collective, is “a community passionate about solving the issues plaguing our vulnerable youth” and, for the last two years, they’ve chosen Promise686 as a strategic ally in this mission.

JOIN THE PROMISE NETWORK

Since the beginning, our approach has been to collaborate first and understand what is being done, then determine needs and develop partnerships. To care for the 19,000 vulnerable children in Florida we lean into partnerships with local churches and organizations, knowing that together we can make a greater impact.

We're grateful to partner with the following organizations in Florida:
